CHANGES TO REPEAT PRESCRIPTION SERVICE FROM FRIDAY 1st SEPTEMBER
Due to increasing demand in general practice, we are reviewing our systems and with effect from Friday 1st September 2017 the majority of prescriptions will be generated at our branch site at St Marychurch.
Requesting and collection of prescriptions remains unchanged. There is no need to change the site at which you request or collect.
Prescriptions will now available for collection after 4pm on the 3rd working day after the practice receives the request. This enables clinicians to attend to treatment of urgent cases as priority and then process prescription requests.

Important Change To Repeat Prescriptions Service At Brunel Medical Practice
Brunel Medical Practice is now using the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This means that your prescription can be sent directly and electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. So you will no longer need to visit the surgery to collect it.
EPS will save your Doctor's time, your Pharmacist's time and - most importantly - your time! We encourage all our patients to take advantage of this excellent new service. If you have not already notified us of your nominated pharmacy, please do so as soon as possible so that we can start sending your prescriptions electronically.
Your pharmacy is your choice.
Please be aware that some nationally based pharmacies may contact you to encourage you to nominate them to process your prescriptions. We would like to reassure all our patients that Brunel Medical Practice has not passed, and will not pass, any of your details to any pharmacy or any other third party."
If you are on regular medication and your doctor feels that your medication can be repeated without you being seen each time, you will be given a repeat prescription. The ‘tear off’ portion may be taken or sent to the surgery where your usual doctor is based.
Please allow 48 working hours (discounting Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays) before collection.
Alternatively, we can post your prescription back to you if a stamped addressed envelope is provided, or you may request that your local chemist collects your prescription on your behalf.
In order to avoid errors, prescription requests are not taken over the telephone.
If you use a Pharmacy
If your requests come to us via a pharmacy, please allow an extra day for the pharmacy to delivery your request to the surgery.
If we send your completed prescription direct to a pharmacy from the surgery, please allow an extra day for the pharmacy to collect the prescription for you.
